Dr. Claudia I. Kidd is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and received a Master of Science Degree from Boston University and a Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study in 2003 from the University of Massachusetts, Boston. After earning her degree, she spent several years working with birth, foster and adoptive parents within the child welfare system. She also worked within this system to help create policy and to develop a specialized child and family mediation process. Claudia became a trained mediator and worked with many birth and adoptive parents to create collaborative parenting agreements.
Over the past 7 years, Claudia has worked as a therapist and supervisor in a community mental health agency. She has experience treating individuals diagnosed with anxiety, trauma-related issues, depression, bipolar disorder, and adjustment and grief related disorders. She has experience providing individual and couples therapy. Claudia uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Narrative therapy to help her clients. Claudia’s strengths-based focus enables her clients to access their own inner strengths to grow and reach their goals. She is excited to work with clients to help them achieve their emotional and spiritual goals.
